CELL Terms and Conditions

CELL Courses

Payment policy

Payment of the balance of the course fee is due, in full, at the latest four weeks before the course start date, unless stated otherwise in the course information.

Registration is validated by payment of the full course fee, and a space on the course is guaranteed only through payment of the course fee in full.

Refund and cancellation policy

Sometimes circumstances change and you may be unable to attend a course you have paid for.

If so, there are a few options available:

If you notify us at least 30 days prior to the course commencement, CELL will refund your course fee, but will deduct an administration fee of 10% OR you can apply the full amount as credit towards a future course.

If you notify us less than 30 days prior to the course commencement, CELL cannot provide a refund OR you can send someone else in your place.

Short Courses (up to 2 days) are not refundable.

Please strongly note, that travel to and from any of our courses is the attendee’s responsibility. CELL is not responsible for any loss or travel reimbursement, should the course be discontinued.

Certification policy

Certification is conditional on attending the entire course. We reserve the right to refuse certification to participants who have missed sessions of the course for whatever reason.

Access policy

CELL is reserving 2 spaces per course for participants with little income. Please talk to us about the options:

Cancellation by CELL

Whilst every effort is made to avoid changes to our programme, CELL reserves the right to withdraw any course. If for any reason CELL cancels a course, all course fees will be returned in full. We cannot reimburse the cost of any pre-booked travel arrangements and suggest that you might like to consider travel insurance to cover any significant costs incurred.

CELL Room Rental

These Terms and Conditions apply to all rooms used within a CELL context, but particularly refer to the Beckerich Room and the Beggen Hub. The most current version of the Terms and Conditions applies.

Booking

The contact/booking person needs to have an up-to-date CELL membership at the time of booking. A booking of the CELL room for a day means 8 hours. Any additional hours will incur additional charges. A provisional booking will only be held for two weeks and if unconfirmed it will be released without notice. All prices are correct at the time of quoting, and are subject to change without notice. All prices agreed on a confirmed booking with a deposit paid will be honoured. The venue will not be confirmed unless payment is made a week in advance. For day-long hires, the contact person will be asked to provide a refundable deposit that may not be reimbursed in case of breakage of equipment. Should the contact person wish to change the date of your event, it will be at the discretion of the availability of the CELL room at a different date. Any amendments to the original booking will be agreed in writing with CELL and the client. The contact person or their organisation will be responsible for any loss or damage to CELL property which is attributed to a member or members of the party. CELL would like to rent the room to persons or organisations in line with CELL ethics, values and aims. The purpose of the booking will be fully disclosed to CELL prior to booking.

Site access

The site is located on the first floor. This inconvenience needs to be communicated to potential participants with limited mobility. It is imperative to carpool and/or use public transport to get to the CELL venue, given the limited parking space available.

Room etiquette

The maximum number of people allowed in the room is 40. Upon entering the room, every person will be required to remove their footwear and leave it at the doorway. The room shall be cleaned thoroughly after use. There are brooms and cleaning utensils available to return it to its state of origin. The CELL room is part of a private residence. Please respect the privacy of the residents. You must do your best to maintain good order and decent behaviour by persons present at the CELL room. Events must be conducted decently, soberly and in an orderly manner to ensure the safety of the public, performers and staff. Drinking alcohol and smoking is not permitted in the CELL room. Please do not leave any litter on CELL grounds. It is not permitted to attach anything to the walls of the room, not even with blu-tack. Equipment is not to be moved or rearranged without prior permission.

Media

Professional photographers must contact CELL for permission to photograph/film on the premises. The CELL logo and photographic images taken at the site must NOT be used without prior written permission from CELL.

Public access

The CELL Room is open to the public by appointment.

Cancellation

In case of cancellation of a booking less than 14 days in advance of the booking date, we cannot reimburse the payment. In case of cancellation of a booking more than 14 days in advance of the booking date, we will reimburse 50% of the payment.
