Support local authorities in setting up Repair Cafés, manage a rotating, mobile team of volunteer repairers and promote Repair Cafés to the public.
Project description :
All too often, we tend to throw things away as soon as they are damaged or no longer work. Yet many of these objects would be perfectly usable after a simple repair. But for many of us, repairing is no longer a normal part of life. Repair Cafés are designed to teach people how to repair all kinds of objects: electrical appliances, computer equipment, bicycles and even clothes. Thanks to Repair Cafés, we no longer throw things away: we repair them! All in a friendly atmosphere, over a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.
