CELL's role and mission :
Develop and coordinate a program to preserve and restore pollinating insects and their ecosystems - Raise public awareness and knowledge of pollinator protection.
Project description :
While their survival is directly linked to that of the human species, pollinating insects are dangerously threatened. The Polynatur project enables community gardens learn simple, effective methods and tools for protecting pollinating insects and restoring their habitats. In addition, Polynatur runs a participatory research project developed in partnership with the Museum of Natural History, which both raises public awareness and generates knowledge to help protect pollinators in Luxembourg. Polynatur also participates in the development of the citizens' seed network and encourages the public to flower their gardens without using pesticides.
