Become a Volunteer

Here are some of the volunteering opportunities we offer. We have long-term, formal volunteering positions and informal volunteering opportunities. As a CELL volunteer you will develop your own projects and participate in projects currently run by CELL: transition initiatives and projects, permaculture sites, community gardens, permaculture groups, festivals, parties, courses and workshops. We would also like you to get involved in the daily management of the organisation. You should be passionate about permaculture and agroecology, have some knowledge of low-impact living and be autonomous, resourceful and proactive.

Informal volunteering opportunities

CELL is an almost entirely volunteer-run organisation and we are very grateful for those people who offer up their time, skills, energy and enthusiasm for furthering our project. Our volunteering opportunities range from office work to event organisation to public awareness raising and fundraising. Volunteering with us is an opportunity to develop new skills and make new friends. The festivals and summer events we participate in are all supported by teams of committed and enthusiastic volunteers while across our offices skilled volunteers help us with tasks from marketing to accounting. Talk to us so we can find the volunteering deal that makes you thrive and contributes to your happiness.

European Voluntary Service – EVS

We are accepting applications from autonomous, resourceful youngsters from across the world with a sincere interest and enthusiasm for working in a challenging and fun activist context. An EVS project is an EU-funded partnership between two organisations, a sending and a host organisation. The EVS programme is for young people aged 18-30, interested in pursuing their passion for permaculture and transition while serving CELL in the context of a long-term position (board and pocket money provided for up to 12 months). The volunteer will develop her own project and/or participate in projects currently run by CELL (permaculture sites, community garden, permaculture group…) and events organized by CELL during the year (festivals, parties, courses, workshops…). We are open to ideas of one continuous project initiated and managed by the young volunteer, but we also require that the volunteer be involved a little in the daily management of a structure such as CELL. You can read more about EVS volunteering on http://www.europe.snj.lu and http://www.volontaires.lu.

Service volontaire civique – SVCi
